Aadding 360 Cameras

This thread and variations of it have been done, but I have not seen the following question answered

Summation of prior threads:
Question: Can I add 360 aftermarket
Answer: Maybe but probably not affordable, go aftermarket instead
Followup: No additional information

What I would like to know is how many cameras can be plugged into the stock 8" screen, or if there is some additional component that the cameras are plugged into.

I can get access to some cheap mirrors with cameras, but I don't know what all needs to be done to plug them in. If there are additional wires or changing a harness that needs to be done, what one is different? What modules or other things need to be added other than just the cameras? Computer work is a probable given to turn them on. Does a camera button also need to be added above the screen, maybe a different faceplate to fit that button?

If going aftermarket, does that mean an additional screen needs to be put in the truck, maybe with a ram system or something? Or do aftermarket ones plug into the stock 8" screen, and how?

I've seen where people added the front camera, if you are one of those people did you see additional plugs in the stock system that could be from the mirrors? If you are someone who added mirror cameras, how did you do so?
