Massive oil consumption
I changed my 15w-40 oil in November before driving from Utah, to Texas, and pulling a 32' back to Utah. This is the 3rd time in my knowledge of pulling out significantly less oil than 15 quarts on an oil change. I can tell when it's been consuming oil because the truck will shutter start and idle rough. Is this oil consumption bad injector O rings?

If you have the OEM fuel system, pull the fuel filter and see if it is black and slimy. That is on sign of leaking injector o-rings. Another test is to free rev the engine. If it revs to 1800 rpms then stumbles and slowly builds rpm while billowing white smoke, this points to bad o-rings.
