Random Stuff and A Couple Questions.

22 CCSB 7.3L

What am I hearing? When I open my door, I hear a sound like a solenoid opening or actuating something under the truck.
Transmission issue or maybe not. When cold as in sitting all night the trans seems to take a little long to engage both reverse and drive. It seems to shift a little stiff for about 5 minutes. The idle seems to be just a tad rougher and a hair louder with mechanical sounds compared to the first 6-700 miles. I'm not a lengthy warm up guy, maybe long enough to put my seat belt on and play a little with my stereo.
I'm at a little over 1800 miles and have a short trip pulling my 23' toyhauler, about 7200 lbs coming up in a couple weeks.
FWIW, I ordered these hooks after I put Hammerlocks on. I really don't like the Hammerlocks. They actually fit through the holes in factory hitch. Compared to what is on my trailer, they are a little lower profile. They carry the same G70 rating that the old hooks have. There is no indications they are Chinese made but I wouldn't be surprised. Maybe this will help someone.

Thanks for listening.

I have headers & true dual exhaust w/ glasspacks that exit in front of the rear tires.
When I start the engine cold, it is noticeably louder (2x) for the first 5+ minuets, I believe the engine adjusts RPM, and(valve or ignition) timing slightly when cold, to help heat up the cats. When it finally idles down, it is much quieter.
I've looked for documentation on this, but have found non, just an educated guess.
My trans is a little jerky when cold, I try to let it run for 2-5 min before I drive in the morning. I always baby the throttle and try not to rev over 2000 rpm until the engine is at operating temp.
