When I had my 2015 F150 4x4, it came with these retractable bed steps which made access to the front of the bed real easy. Now that I have a F250 4x4, the bed is quite a bit taller to the point that it will be impossible to access the front of the bed from the side. Is there anything available I can bolt to the frame to solve my problem? I do have the AMP retractable running boards too. I can't seem to find anything.
Also, It's amazing how much these trucks have changed. I recently got my dads 2002 GMC 4x4 Duramax 2500 to use as a work truck. Basically its the same truck as my 2022 F250. Both 4x4, both 3/4 ton. The height difference is amazing. I can reach over the bed side to touch the bed on the GMC. Not even a chance with the F250
Look at the AMP Bed Step and I believe Bestop makes a version also. They're a spring-retracted step that mounts in front of the rear tire, specifically for access to the front of the bed. Real Truck usually has them listed and I believe AutoAnything sells them as well.
I thought I recall seeing somewhere where the steps from the f150s would fit on the 350s. I took the steps off my 16 f150 to put on my 350 whenever it comes in if they fit.

I’ve had both brands. I know that on my 2016 F 250 Bestop was considerably lower cost than AMP for basically the same step.
However, once the current generation SD came out Bestop was pretty slow on the draw to update so I had to move to AMP. So far I’ve used that same step on 4 of the current generation trucks.
It may be worthwhile for today’s shopper to compare prices. But I have the rear bumper step, not the bedside step. The same step has been on a 2017, 2019, 2020 and the current 2022.
The Bedstep 2 does fit a 2022 F250. I put them on both sides of mine. They did have the wrong linkage packaged in mine but sent the correct linkage after I contacted customer service. Everything works as expected.
This was a big sticking point for me! I reach in the bed of my truck constantly both work and play. I did the factory extended running boards which are not available in all trims and packages. I also did the optional $330 Bed Step and the standard Lariat tailgate step. I ended up with Lariat CCSB Ultimate but no sport or tremmor package. Just built last week and awaiting delivery about 2-19
I have the Amp Research 75313-01A on my 2022 Super Duty. It bolted on in about 10 minutes. I love it. Super easy to move up and down and makes getting in the bed effortless. I won't own another truck without a step like that.
