I have a 2021 F250 Lariat that I'd like to black out the headlight housing like on the black appearance package. I already have the OEM quad beam headlights on my truck. My question is, what is the easiest and most cost affective options I have to black out the headlights? Oh, and I don't want to send my headlights in to have them painted, as my truck is my only vehicle and daily driver.
If you can’t send yours off, maybe see if you could buy a pair and have them painted then sell your stock. Or maybe a painter would do a core charge and send yours back once you receive new ones.
I see an awful lot of OEM headlights that have been taken apart, painted, and reassembled that leak and get foggy inside. I sure wouldn't do that. The only option I would even consider is buying the OEM blacked out lights. Maybe you can find a junkyard that has some for cheaper than new ones.
Aftermarket companies like American Truck have numerous black housing headlight assemblies. You can even get smoked lenses for an "even more sinister" appearance.
Prices for aftermarket stuff range from $350 to way over $1200. Do your homework, read reviews and get recommendations if you go this route.
Morimoto replacements, paint your existing housing or buy housings from a black out edition truck and sell yours. You could also tint the lens of yours, which gives the darker look but personally, I don't think it's overly smart to tint headlight lenses but to each their own.
Go OEM and sell your stock ones.
There are plenty of owners who’d love to have your OEM LED headlights just the way they are.
Believe or not and depending on how much you sell them for, when all is said and done, you’re only going to be out of pocket for $300.00 - $500.00 dollars.

I like this idea, and believe this is the route I will go.

OP said he has the quad beam headlights, doesn't that indicate he does not have LED??
