Hey all! Didn’t know where else to post this, not a lot of active Mercury forums from what I could find. Certainly nothing with as large a following as this website.
I’m using this website (1964 Mercury Identification) to decode a 1964 Mercury Monterey I just got, and everything is making sense until I get to the Trim code. The website lists a 72, 75, 76, and 79 code.
My tag says “70.” Anyone know anything about these? Keep thinking I’m missing something but that website explains everything pretty well, I just don’t see anything about a 70 at all.
Regardless, cool cars, I’m pretty excited about owning one!
Ask your question on the AACA.org website. There are hundreds of classic car guys who use this site and I'm sure one can help you. Good luck with your car. I had a '61 Monterey convertible a few years ago and really enjoyed it....
