Can anyone recommend the best way to bench bleed a master cylinder. I've seen where some people say that most of the part stores come with a little hose kit to bench bleed but I got a motorcraft and it did not come with anything. Is the hose kit with all the adapters a good way or I also noticed that you can do this with a large syringe that's made for bench bleeding. Want to do this right and be done with it so hoping for some suggestions, or any tips and tricks, thank you
IVe always had great luck doing the same for a long time.
Never seen that before, is that basically the same method you would use to bleed the brakes from the calipers while someone is pumping the brake pedal? I couldn't tell in the video when he was holding his finger on the master cylinder and taking it off
Last time I bled a master cylinder on the bench I used the cheap plastic Dorman kit, worked great. Plugs go into MC outlets with clear tubing that loops back over into the respective reservoirs. Secure MC in vise and stroke it a few times with a punch or similar tool pushing the rod (takes some effort) and when the bubbles stop it's good. Get the lid on and pinch the tubing with a binder clip or something till you get it bolted up to the firewall. Avoid drips on paint, obviously. Then quickly pop the brake lines into the ports and bleed the system as normal.

Thank you aawlberninf350, I will probably go this route. Just wasn't sure if using the syringe was a better method or not. I was probably reading to far into this but did read some nightmare stories about people not being able to bench bleed the master cylinder properly, I will move on using the KISS method. Thank you guys for your input
