Hey everyone, have a question.Does anyone have any input preference on what type of tail piece to be recomended on the end of exhaust system. Will any of the Tail Tips make a difference in sound, smoothness, performance etc... I would like something to sound smooth and clean sounding, yet I want performance too.Currently I have cat back 3 in. exhaust with flowmaster 40series single. Any info. on this would be appreciated.
Maybe you should get one of those 6" fartcans that the ricers use on their Hondas. Apparently they are good for 50 hp or so
Ok,ok, never mind
I doubt that most exhaust tips will really make any difference. If it makes the truck quieter I would think it would probably be at the expense of exhaust flow. My thinking is that by the time the exhaust gets to the end of the tailpipe it should already have been muffled or whatever enough.
No not looking for the "blowdryer" sound just a deep consistant tone. I have heard many trucks with same system but different Tips made different sounds. Right now I have 3.5" cromed tip to 3" pipe straight. I've seen some tips rounded over at the end.
Thanks for the Info. Ive got an appt. today to have mine changed out.Thats what the muffler shop said also,so I will try. They said it will be no charge due to not satisfied with install. Again thanx for the response. Rich
