2015 6.2l F250 has a stock exhaust setup. And what looks to be two mufflers? Thinking the first is the resonator though and the one at the rear the muffler. Just similar looking.
This is not my area, when I wanted a deeper sound on my F150 the forums came through and ended up with a ProXS which was perfect.
Needless to say, back for my advice. Looking for just a deeper tone, not necessarily louder.
I don’t need a whole cat back system, swapping out only the muffler worked well and was cost effective so wanting to go that route.
I’m guessing I need a 3” inlet and outlet? Seems like I could go ProXS again, but seeing that mostly used on the F150. Magnaflow has some decently priced choices with the 3” in/out and center/off center I’m looking for.
Just not too sure and I don’t want to just straight pipe it.
After some searching I found a thread mentioning the Magnaflow and have opted to get one. I think the muffler shop will install it, let me hear it and if after I want the large resonator closest to the muffler gone they would fab that up.
Removing the resonator can cause some droning in the cab at highway speeds. Just saying. NY it has to be in place or no passy passy inspection.
We don’t have inspections, but I definitely don’t want drone. I was happy with the subtle changes adding the Borla ProXS added to my 5.0. That’s what I’m wanting this magnaflow to do, just deeper tone almost to the point you’d think it was stock.
