I have a 1997 ranger 2.3 std transmission. the draws on the instrument 50 amp fuse. when I connect the battery there's a box on the right side of the steering column. it has 2 relays the top one clicks. I switched it out and doesn't change. does anyone know what these relays are for or know where I can get a wiring diagram for it. thanks jim.
I have a similar battery drain on my 98 goes away with the 50A pulled. I further narrowed it down to Fuse 26 on the interior fuse box which powers the battery saver relay and few other ones.
From what I have read it can take 45 minutes until gem module shuts everything off so you have to wait to see if the drain goes away. I can't find any wire diagrams for this. I gave up working on it until the weather warms up and just leave fuse 26 out which just stops my power windows from working.
Thanks I've replaced that module once I think. been awhile. and I believe I've had to pull that fuse before. I've got my son who works at a dealership looking for a diagram. I'll see what he can find. thanks jim.
