warning buzzer

OK, so I'm driving along and the warning buzzer comes on for no reason. Actually it's more like a bell. Anyway, I can't figure out why it stays on. If the doors are closed (tried jiggling the jamb switch already) and the engine is running, why else would the warning come on? I usually only hear it if I either leave the lights on and take the key, or the key is on and the door is open. Could it be a short? Since it is pitch black and pouring rain outside, can somebody tell me exactly where to find the actual buzzer? I need to disconnect it until I have a chance to poke around. Thanks.

It could be the door switches - grab the black mushroom-headed pins and pull gently but firmly STRAIGHT outward. You should see a brass sleeve slide out ~1/4". Then close the doors. That will reset the switches. You can probably find a photo of them in my signature link.
