Tracking a Coolant Leak....
I've got a 2002 F-250 XLT 4WD V8 CC (221,000 miles) and was doing the radiator flush. A few days later noticed clear-ish liquid coming down the Exhaust Pipe (the "Y" pipe) on the drivers side. I am doing the flush but letting it deep clean the radiator and doing some driving. I was going to empty and refill using regular coolant when I noticed the drip. I am about to rent the hand held pressure tester from O'Reilly's. I think it could be the intake manifold gasket, It also could be the thermostat housing that is part of the coolant "crossover" at the front of the intake manifold. If anything, it's a small drip but something that will bug me till no end!! Keep in MIND THE truck is 20 years old. Never had the intake manifold changed nor the coolant crossover. Parts for all related are about $400 from Ford. Has anyone changed theirs out and how much time would you give it? Level of difficulty?
