Engine Air Filter FA-1950

Best I've found for owners manual specified engine air filter, Motorcraft FA1950, is $37. Some places are twice that price. Seems crazy high. Anyone found a good source?
2022 model yr.

Quick search found out of stock, $67 and $47. Your price looks to be the best you'll find, which to me, still seems a bit high for an air filter.

I did have to use the "Notify me when available" feature. Took about a week to hear from Rock Auto.

Found a source I think....

On some Ford online forum I read that Purolator makes Ford's engine air filters. On Purolator's website, the cross reference part number for FA-1950 is
Purolator # A41444.https://www.purolatornow.com/en/part-finder.html

I ordered two at Amazon for $27 each.

The slightly smaller Motorcraft air filter for my F150 5.0V8 is $16. Why the big price gap is puzzling.

I agree - Shipping KILLS Low Price

Was looking at Rock Auto. They had listed for $25-26 BUT cheapest shipping was $10.

My local O'Reily's had it for $33 and I can pick it up today.

What's anyone's thoughts on the "cleanable" filter from K&N ($89)?

Is there a trick in changing these? I always have a hard time getting the cover aligned

It's a pain in the .... I think I had to undo air intake tube and unclip something electrical. I did this since I wasnt comfortable forcing the filter element into the tight box, fearing I might mess up the filter shape and get a poor seal. You can force things, but I chose not to.

Well glad its not just me then. But ya tuff cookie for sure. I change it every 10k probably early but what ev its cheap. If they would have just moved the battery like 1'' back it would be pc of cake.
