I would go with the Purolator air filter and the Purolator Boss oil filter instead of the Motorcraft.
There are better filters than the OE Motorcrafts.

I used to buy Motorcraft filters. After extensive research I buy WIX oil filters (Not the WIX XP) and I'll buy the WIX air filter when it is time.

This video show how the WIX and Purolator Pure One filters really outperform the AC Delco (OEM, like Motorcraft).

Motorcraft works for me or whatever is in stock at Wally when it's needed. They where slim pickings but easier to find now.

Just bought a new f550 so I better stick with Motorcraft everything until the warranty expires. By the way they offered me a bumper to bumper warranty for 175,000 miles. It wasn't cheap but it gives me peace of mind.
