The 2.3l eco is recommended 3K oil changes if you use semi-synthetic oil, I always rotated my F350 tires every 5K miles as those oil changes were at 5K unless I was towing more often then it was 3K but for the Ranger I'll just go every other oil change, every 6K miles will be fine for me.
Also, this may be old school but I have always change my engine oil at the 1000 mile mark, then after that go to your regular scheduled oil changes.
With the other Ford F-series they are giving an $50 credit for the auto/start delete but I'm not seeing it on the Rangers as a credit.
No real issues with my dealer, I'm guessing the mix-up on not changing my exterior color was because it was so close to Christmas my request got overlooked. But it was changed later, was told since my Ranger wasn't yet scheduled for production they were able to make the color change.
You must live closer to the Michigan Plant if your Ranger is going by Truck Convoy.
I wasn't notified from Ford of the shipping till after it was shipped by a good 5 days later. After I was notified of the exact build date I continued to check on the status for updated shipping info, that is how I knew when it was put on the Rail, maybe yours will ship out quicker since it is going by truck convoy..
Right so besides don't tow for the first 1000 miles, there are no "don't drive over 100 km/h or don't floor the gas" kinda things? Not that I will be flooring it, but just wondering if I should be babying it and for how long.

You know I never baby any of my new trucks or the 1 mustang I had but I did hammer down on the throttle a few times but after I got closer to 700 miles, cruise control is something else I won't use for the 1st 1000 miles. Now some of these so called experts are stating your can use the cruise control from day one but not me, I'm just sticking with what I have always done.
Taking a long drive is always better than short trips in that 1st 1000 miles at least it has been for me, my Ranger will see 750 miles over a 3 day period and by the time I get back to my home 5 days later it will be at that 1K mark and that 1st oil change.

Gotcha ok thanks, I'll do the oil change at 1000km, should I rotate the tires at 10k for the first time?

My mistake, I was referring to miles, with Kilometers you could go 1600 km for your first oil change, then after that every 3000 miles(4828 kilometers) and stay with that for future oil changes. If you use Full Synthetic oil you can go further between oil changes.
Yes, on your 2nd oil change you could do your tire rotation.

I'm new to the 2.3L ECOBOOST engine, I've had an 2008 V8 engine so far, are ECOBOOSTS synthetic oil only?

I'm new to the ecoboost engines as well but I have done tons of research on the 2.3L Ecoboost.
Yes, Full Synthetic or synthetic blend is the recommended oil to use.
From what I have read and the youtube channels semi-synthetic(blend) oil is the oil to use, full synthetic is an option but not required, just stay with the correct oil grade.
Because of the turbo the engine oil has to meet the demand and doing oil changes past the recommended intervals is just asking for issues down the road.

I've been using the semi-synthetic(blend) oil in my V8 F350 6.2L gas for the past 65,000 miles (104,607km) and I don't burn any oil between oil changes, the oil looks cleaner too between oil changes.

My Ranger arrived at the dealer late this afternoon but with a 7 hour drive 1-way and with the Easter Crowd out there I told them no-way for a pickup on Saturday. Instead I'll be there 1st thing Wednesday Morning.
Now I have had some lack of communications with this Dealer (I have never dealt with this Dealer Before) and all of this 4 1/2 month wait may have been just a waste of my time, as this purchase just may not come to be. Good thing I wasn't able to sell my nice F350. I'll keep you all updated, should know the result by Monday one way or the other.

Hey all, my Ranger was built on April 11th and delivered at the dealership on the 15th. It was fast since I live in Ontario next to Michigan. Just an FYI for everyone here, I was told I need to do another credit approval now since it has been 7 months since the last one (since it took so long) and the interest rates went up by 1% since then, so we are waiting on the bank right now to override to the original rate. So the truck is essentially being held hostage until the bank approves it. If you see the truck is being built, I would contact your dealer to get the approval thing done again before the truck arrives.

My 2022 Ranger is in my garage, the problems I was having was just a miscommunication with my saleswomen and her lacking sending me the signed Buyers Order Agreement which I requested numerous times.
The Doc fee of $599 was reduced to $99 and they gave me the $500 difference which I applied to the Ranger, plus Fords Rebates, the Additional dealer rebates plus the now lower doc fee rebate and a very decent trade-in value for my 2016 F350 6.2l Supercab. All that was left to do was to write a check for the balance and headed home on an 8-hour return drive.
Over that drive of 490 miles the Rangers computer was stating 21.9mpg, hand calculations were actually 22.5, I topped off twice during breaks, impressive on a new engine. I wasn't poking along by any means, I never used the cruise control for any of my new vehicles in the 1st 1000 miles.

I was told the finance approval is only valid for 30 days, is it different for Canada?

My ranger was built 3/22/22, hasn’t shipped yet. My dealer says it’s a transport problem. Seems ridiculous to wait almost two months. Is this normal? Also I have never heard a word from ford about my order, which was 12/11/21.

WOW, have you entered your VIN number on the Ford Page lately to check the updated status?
Ford (not my Dealer) kept me updated on each step my Ranger was in, from the ordered date, Scheduled Date, delays notifications, Built and Shipping Date. The Shipping Date email notification was actually 7 days after the fact but that was probably done on purpose.

Yes I have entered my vin # and it was built 3/22/22. To be fair to my dealer, after I ordered Ranger we went to Florida. I told them I would just pick it up when I got back the end of March. That’s when I started trying to track it. I didn’t know you could. No email or a call from anyone in all that time. I did get a hold of Ford and talked to a lady that said it would be delivered April 29th. That didn’t happen. Now dealer says between May 8th and 14th. Website still says nothing. I guess I’m disappointed with Ford if they were supposed to keep me posted and haven’t. Meanwhile I guess I will just wait. I have a contract and hope they still honor it with the cash back and zero % loan.

My Ranger was ordered 12/11/21. I wintered in Florida and told my dealer I would pick it up the end of March if it was in. All winter I heard from no one. When I got back I started looking into it. No one told me I could track it. Got vin # from dealer and check status, that’s when I found out when it was built. I finally got a hold of someone from Ford and they said it would be delivered April 29th. That didn’t happen, now dealers says between May 8th and 14th. Not sure if I have a warm feeling about that. I guess I’m disappointed with ford and the whole process, would have been nice to be keep informed. The ford website seems to be a hit and miss to get updates.

Yes I have checked my vin# when the site is up. Been stuck since 3/22/22 where ever it is. No word from anyone. Dealer thinks it might be here May 8th -14th. Originally the told me the 29th of April. It’s the wait and see game .
