Howdy Glad to be here I have found some very info on here and hope to find much more. My 1995 F150 5.0 is trying to get under my skin (so to speak), but I keep telling myself that it only man made "don't let it get the upper hand". Does anyone know where I can find an ignition diagram of my wiring also the PCM pinouts for my truck?
Another quick test is disconnect the computer then crank the engine. If spark returns you have a bad computer. If not the above procedure should lead you to the root cause.
Thanks torq'ta 5 8...I have all those diagrams and they are not helping. I have stripped my truck down to that shielded drain wire (circuit 48). What is the purpose of this wire? I intend to replace the aluminum foil shield cause it feels softer than a chewing gum wrapper. I will let everyone know what happens........
I wanted to give you all an update but my service has took a dump and I am not sure the picture was posted.......my truck is still NO START..the shielded drain wire has been rewrapped...of the 24 inches, the last foot of the foil was deteriorated so bad. I actually thought that I had found my problem. I think that my PIP is now the problem. My PIP has 7 wires and all the diagrams that I have show 5...what are the other 2? Does anybody have a diagram that they want to share?
The PIP sensor inside the distributor has only a few wires. Perhaps you are referring to the Ignition Control Module (ICM)? It is the black colored device mounted to a heat sink on the driver side inner fender. It has 7 wires...
