Last feature question - I've never had a 360 camera system and I've never had a DRW.
With the wider rear, do you find it useful? Looks like it's a $1600 option on the XLT
I already have the high center brake camera added, but was looking for opinions on the implementation of this on the superduties. How's the video quality - can you actually see how close you are to something / other cars in a parking lot? Do you ever even use it?
It's pretty close. I still use the mirrors though, in addition to the 360. It gives guide lines superimposed on the camera view, but I've never tested how actual close it is. Thought about setting up some cones or something to check it, but I always double check the mirror if it's close anyway.
I use the 360 cameras pulling into just about any parking space and going through fast food drive throughs. I find them to be accurate and handy.
I use it a lot when parking in a space with no other vehicles around. Since you can't see the stripes line of sight or with mirrors, the cameras let you center the truck dead on in the spot. Love it! Not to mention hitching the 5th wheel or conventional trailers.
I'm also getting used to it when parking. I have not even tried any drive-thru's yet. I'm scared I'm going to get stuck, I don't like drive-thru's anyway unless I have to. I use the 360 a lot when parking in my driveway since I have another large truck next to it.
I use the 360 way more than I thought I would. It’s such a nice feature with a DRW 350/450/. You can center up into parking spaces much better, and in tight quarters its a very nice addition to the mirrors. I would not want to be without it.
Oh…. And when my dogs run up to the truck to greet me and get too close… I know right where they are with the 360. 🐶
Just bought my first dually. Had to have one for the towing aspect. It tows better, better grip when starting off and driving in grass dirt mud, better stability, more payload ....never had a problem taking this through several drivethroughs, and mine is a cclb. Been through a mickey d's and Jacks drive through just fine.
The 360 cameras are great. I use them every time I move it or park it. Like someone else said its hard to see the lines in the parking lot where you have to park my cc lb cameras make it super easy. Don't think I'd buy another without it.
Had the cameras on my 17 350 srw and now on my 22 450. They are even more useful with the drw truck. I would not buy this truck without the cameras. Use them all the time.
