This may be covered elsewhere but I cannot find anything that matches my issues exactly.
On two separate trailers I am having a “No trailer connected” message when actuating the brake controller. When you hook up the trailer it says trailer connected and all lights work properly. Checked all fuses in cab and under hood called out by association in the manual. Checked and greased all connections under the bed and in the bumper. Replaced the 7 way truck side connector and still no change. With trailer 7 way connected to the truck and no other physical contact between truck or trailer I am getting good continuity from truck frame to trailer frame so I know I am getting a good ground outside of the hitch.
Truck came stock with the trailer package, double checked forscan that nothing had been changed accidentally. Checked all other modules as well against the as-built data. While in forscan I also ran self tests on theIPC and trailer control module and everything passed. Am I missing something simple? It doesn’t make sense that everything works beside the brakes. If it were only on one trailer I would suspect the towed brake system but it happens on all trailers.
Check the battery for the break-away circuit on the trailers. 10 - 1 it is dead. Bypass the battery as a test and I bet your brakes work without the error message. Ask me how I know this...
@jdnariz
Thank you for your response. If you hadn't seen in the original post, every connector has been pulled apart, cleaned and greased. @Joe T
Thank you for your response as well. The 7 way connector on the truck side has also been replaced also as stated. @B-ManFX4
I'll try that this evening but it would not explain why I have had this issue on two separate trailers.

This is likely the cause of your problem - It has been identified by several others as well....

Are you saying both trailers can't have bad batteries? If they are not used fairly frequently with trucks that are re-charging them properly I can almost guarantee they are both bad.
