2012 Cabin Bushing Replacement

Hello all. Sorry that my last log-in was back in 2012. I guess I joined right after I got my F-250. Next month will be 10 years I have owned this truck. I only have 66k miles and for the most part it has been a pretty good truck. I have no intentions of going new. I replaced the original factory fuel tank with a 50 gal. Titan, which took care of not having to worry about your next fuel stop so soon. It has been a good truck. Finally got around to looking for the noise I’ve been hearing in the cab and learned about the cabin bushing issues. Needless to say, most of my lower ones were all gone and I decided last week to tackle replacing them. After much research, I decided to go with the SB silicone bushing kit with the lifetime warranty. Now to the bad part. I have been working off and on the past week on this project. None of these bolts came out easy. I have removed 5 and have snapped off the front 2 and the last one at the rear of the drivers side. I’m currently in the process of removing the radiators as to allow me to get to the top side of the cage nuts. My question: With the radiators out, should I have a shop rework them? I’ve always maintained the coolant with the test strips and I’ve not had any problems. I’m replacing the coolant and also thinking of replacing all of the hard to get to coolant hoses since it is a major job in getting to the radiator. Any suggestions will be appreciated….Steve

I would just reuse the radiator, as-is, as you've maintained the system and aren't having any problems with it.

At that mileage and age, I'd expect most of your hoses to still be in good condition. Great time to inspect and replace if needed, however. Get good quality hoses if you do choose to replace such as Motorcraft.

Thanks Tiggie. My exact same thoughts. Will replace if needed. Any suggestions on the radiator refill process? Normally I would fill it the old way but have done a bit of research and some are saying to use a charging system.

I bought a coolant vacuum for servicing my wife's very stubborn Escape. I use it for everything now. No worrying about air bubbles. Well worth the money in my opinion!
