10,000 miles in all terrain not pulling anything and I'm averaging 12mpg.

As others stated, with 4.30's, your fuel economy will be worse. It will be turning another few hundred RPM and burning even more gas.

Why on our 2020 and on the new 2022 I opted for the 3.73s. It pulled just fine with the 3.73s and only pulled a couple times a month. The 2020 XLT F-350 DRW 7.3L averaged 12~12.5 here. I run 40 miles/day on I-20 at 75~80 MPH. Plus some around town stop and go stuff. For whatever reason, it also got around 15 MPG while over in NM around Albuquerque.
