TPMS messages
2016 F350 XL SRW. Bought second hand tires and rims (OEM) but find the pressure sensors had been removed. Don’t have any fancy instrumentation but the TPMS fault message and light activated each start cycle for about a week then it stopped showing.
Does the system learn there are no sensors or should I expect to see the messages re appear. They have been clear now for a couple of days. My tire guy wants $60 each for new sensors and install and programming…..TIA

I bought a set of Ford tires on rims with TPMS installed and the last thing my truck wanted to do was learn those damn sensors. I tried the manual method of flashing the lights and rolling the window down and whatever and then I tried teaching it with FORSCAN. Eventually I just disabled all of it entirely with FORSCAN, no more problems for me. I check my tire pressure like and man with the steel toes of my boots now :P
