I have a 1989 f150 with a 302 efi a 5 speed and 4x4 I've been having trouble getting it to run it will crank with no problem but will not start I've narrowed it down to the fuel system it has spark, it starts up with ether. After I found I had spark I checked the Schrader valve with a screwdriver and zero fuel came out so I'm pretty sure it is an electrical issue. At this point, I'm hoping for some advice for moving forward
Turn the key the RUN. Does the in tank pump run for a couple seconds to prime the system?
EDIT: I didn’t see this is a duplicate thread
It isn’t exactly a duplicate during the summer last time this happened I waited a couple days and it started right up and I’ve been daily driving it since for the most part. Last time I was getting some fuel to the rail but now there is nothing coming out of the Schroeder valve.
Jump the fuel pump ground on the EEC connector. See if you have power to the inline pump.
If so and no go, you have found an issue. Just because a pump runs does not mean it produces volume.
I was able to figure out what was going on. I had the key on and was touching loose wires to the master cylinder near by as a ground until I heard the fuel relay click on grounded out that wire to the battery and now it’s got no problem cranking over.
