Good Evening All, I ran into a problem when I was installing new shocks on my 1958 F100. A bit of history: the truck had 4 extra spring leaves on the rear. Also, the shop that rebuilt my third member mentioned it had heavy duty parts inside. The lower shock mounts have a 5/8" studs and the new shocks have 1/2" mounting holes. Has anyone found rear shocks with the 5/8" mounting hole? I'm afraid if I switch to 1/2" studs there will be too much slop in the lower mounts. TIA
My ‘60 F250 has 5/8” shaft mount on the axle tube and hole for rod style on the frame mount. It is also a longer shock due to the extra ride height of 4wd. Is that the kind you need?

No sir, I am looking for lower shock mounts with a 1/2 inch stud. My other choices are have someone turn the studs to 1/2" or buy another pair of shocks. Thanks replying to my post.
PROBLEM SOLVED ! ! ! When I bought the shocks a couple of years ago the counterman sold me the WRONG shocks! ! ! Its too late to return them so I have the correct ones coming in tomorrow. Thanks friends.
