right off the bat I noticed ford must have changed the right height
rear ended sits about 1.5-2” lower on the 22
but what’s really annoying me is I tow a lot and I had to adjust my hitch up one notch to pick up diff in ride height
but I also notice that this new truck seems to squat a bit more with all of the same trailers I’ve been towing for years compared to my 18
wondering if they changed the springs?
it almost squats when towing like my 2 trucks ago 250 did
I can't imagine that Ford wouldn't have changed the springs as well as the spacer blocks when they lowered the newer trucks.
There is a video on youtube comparing the 20+ to the 19.
It starts out 2” lower, it squats the same amount, you hitch or ball will be 2” lower. You can change out the blocks below the springs for your old taller ones if you like.
Another variable is that bed rails are now 21” above bed, not 20”, but that only affects 5er or goosenecks. This is a real pain for folks for anything other than a 1-4 year old 5er or gooseneck. Those folks need to go to aftermarket to get smaller than oem blocks, and add air bags to keep from bottoming out with the shorter blocks.
All because the market is focused on folks that want raised trucks - but they raise whatever is sold even higher. We need consistent year to year 2x and 4x heights for towing and working on the job, not street hipsters.

Im not sure that bed rails changed from 2017 to 2022. Bedrug shows the same part number. I moved my bedrug from my 2018 to my 2019 and then to my 2020 with the shorted rear blocks and the bedrug fit perfectly.

I know that my DualLiner went from a 2020 to a 2022 with no problems. I'd think the liner would have been short had the rail height increased.
