Question rearview camera full screen with 360 system...Possible?

I tried to search but did not see anything.

Is it possible to disable your aerial view or 360 image from the navigation screen so the rear tailgate image fills the whole screen like trucks without he 360 system?

Hard to see being only half screen right now.

With a plow and salter on, the 360 is useless anyways. I bought an OEM replacement camera to mount on my spreader and would love to fill the whole screen with its image.

On my Sync 3 F150, pressing the camera button above the nav screen cycles through the camera views, the first option being the dedicated tailgate cam view.

Does it stay on it after multiple drive/ reverse cycles or do you have to push the button every time you go into reverse to get that full screen?

Press is required every time, unfortunately, which isn't usually a big deal, but for plowing it'll be inconvenient.

Yeah I've never messed around with those buttons much....maybe at most the front wide angle is nice for getting into tight parking spots. I still trust my mirrors more then anything.

I wonder if anyone has ever come up with a bypass for this?

Like tricking the button to think that it is being pressed every time the truck goes into reverse or something like that.

Check out the video on this page. https://navtv.com/products/NTV-KIT910/cod-f53.html
At some point he talks about camera view memory. They have 2 versions, one that controls the factory 360 cams and another that controls additional auxiliary cams as well. Not cheap, not terrible if you find a group buy on it.

Looks like the last group buy was in March here.

It also looks like they are out of stock of both cod-f50 and cod-f3 units.

So I'd assume no more group buys in the near future?

My 20 F-250 Lariat 360 camera pckg. for over a year upon backup screen had no aerial only tail gate camera. A little over a month ago aerial and tail gate camera became the default. I have no idea why. To me that would mean it is possible w/o after market.

Rear/Hitch Camera while driving, yes its possible!

I have this setup and really really like it. You hit the FRONT camera button (on dash) twice, driving or stopped, and it shows the camera menu on screen. It works while driving by blocking the GPS signal from reaching your truck computer so the computer thinks you are stopped. YES, it takes around 1 or 2 minutes for GPS on truck to re-sync, but it really does work. I very often keep that screen showing my bed camera so i can make sure what I am carrying is not flopping around or jumping out. I also like to keep an eye on my trailer and can show the hitch camera so I could watch the hitch the entire time I drive. Many times I use it when parking so I can see forward without hitting things. If you have a camera on the back/inside of trailer, you can rotate that camera onto screen just like any existing camera. When you put into reverse, the backup camera kicks in and when you go forward again it resumes. When you power cycle truck, it reverts back to stereo or whatever is by factory default. I like the fact that its totally hidden, zero visible parts. Install involves removing radio from dash; the kit I got was completely plug-n-play. When I sold my truck, I liked this so much that I removed it and transfered to my new truck.

4dtech might have something also. I just ordered their CANopener Motion Unlock + 2/3 for my truck. You may need their 360 verison.

Yeah, that would be great if mine did that. That is exactly what I'm looking for.

I have forescan and have done plenty of changes, would be great if it was as simple as that.

That looks really close too but I don't see anything about camera retention like navtv. Maybe I am missing it?

I contacted them via their Facebook link at the bottom of the webpage. They got back to me within 90 minutes. Can't hurt to tell them what you're looking for and get their reply.
I received an email within 2 hours after ordering that it had shipped. Turns out they're only 125 miles or so from me.

I believe there is an option in forscan for full screen or split view with 360. I don’t have the 360 cameras or I would try it for you. It was in the plain English apim.
