If the 400 is a Cleveland, then the 351M has to be a Cleveland too. The 400 is called just the Four Hundred. The 351M gets the M to differentiate it from the 351 Cleveland and 351 Windsor.

But since the 351M and 400 use Cleveland heads, people are quick to label them as Clevelands, when the only true Cleveland is the 351 - unless you're in Australia, where they had a 302 Cleveland along with the 351C.

The 302C, 351C, 351M, and 400 are the entire Ford 335 Series engine family, which further emboldens folks to label the taller-deck 351M/400 as Clevelands. I think the 351M/400 weren't cast in Cleveland either.

it has both listed as cleveland “/“ not “,”.

its often how online vendors segregate them. And if I go ask for some 335 parts few are going to know what I’m asking for, but if I go ask for some Cleveland parts there’s a much smaller chance I’ll get the deer in the headlights.

335 or Cleveland is an acceptable way to lump them together and most that deal with them can understand it. Being It’s based off the 351c. Some were cast in cleveland, so were some small blocks that have no relation.
