Good morning, looking forward to picking your brains in order to get this truck running well. It’s actually my wife’s truck but she lets me work on it .
did you all get enough snow ?
Howdy and welcome aboard from Sheridan.
My cousin had a place up in LaPine until last year. Sold it when his wife passed way too young and unexpectedly.
We missed most of the Oregon snow as I was in Whidbey Island WA for the holidays. Got plenty of snow there. The north end of Whidbey where we were seemed the worse and after a week, they still hadn't seen a snowplow.
Welcome again and be sure to visit over in the BS thread

thank you for the welcome. I’m truly sorry for your cousins loss. Whenever someone asks me how I’m doing today , my reply is “ I woke up” the rest is just icing on the cake.
Enjoy the snow. We'll probably be through your area in June and / July. The Oregon Chapter tries to have a GTG - Get together the first weekend in June every year at the old Radar Station in Condon. We usually try to find interesting, scenic and different routes home.
We spend two weeks every year at Diamond Lake over the 4th of July and this year is no exception. While we usually go up via 58, we've been coming home via 97, 20 & 22 just for a change in scenery the last few years and the Shell Station on the North end of LaPine has become a fueling stop. Then we usually stop at the High Desert Museum.
We'll honk on the way through town.
Well if there’s a way to stay informed id be up for a drive. Should have this thing road worthy by then. I’m always up for exploring the beautiful scenery of the cascades. I should at the very least be able to make it across town to the shell station by then😂, even if I have to tow it there🤪

We usually post a confirmation notice in the spring. Unless a couple of the folks have a major conflict, it will be the first full weekend in June. A couple of us bring our campers and spend Firday and Saturday nights there. We usually stay over Sunday night and leave early in the morning on Monday.
That engine kind of looks vaguely familiar. We have a 72 F250 Camper Special with a 390, (that my sister has just about destroyed), and we used to have a 1978 F250 Ranger with the 400.
.
I didn't have time to read all but if no one else mentions it, the only way that upper pivot point gets lube is when the cv joint tosses oil up into it, and on some vehicles, that will be only when the front half shaft is turning, grease isn't going to lube that very well sitting up in top of the ball joint!
