What rivets do you mean? Usually all the parts should be connected with bolt/nuts only - no rivets. Do You have a pic? Removing rivets works best by drilling them out. It's of course a PITA - job but I don't know any other way.
There are quite a few rivets but their position is mostly visible and they are easy enough to drill out with a spot weld removal tool. The bit I had most trouble with was the piece under the tailgate because it had a few repaints and damage which hid the spot welds. When folk put them back together again they often use nuts/bolts so that's probably what's on Rico's bed.

I have tried a few but that one is the best I have come across. Like most of them it has a spring loaded centre pin which centres on a centre punch mark. I find it locates much better if you partially drill it with a 3/32 drill bit first.
Thanks for the info. I did expect it was going to be a pain and I had hoped for an easy solution, but I guess it's time to bite the bullet and just get on with it. lol
