Side Door Mirrors

I have a 99.5 F350 Super Duty Powerstroke F350 4x4 duallie. It has "power mirrors" but does not have turn signal lights or defrost. I need to get new mirrors as the driver's side is literally hanging on for dear life!! Because I have the power mirros will the ones with turn lights and defrost plug in and work or am I wasting my time with those?

At this point i say best option is to put 08 up mirrors on your truck. A direct bolt on and much better mirrors to see with. The signals, running lights and defrost can be wired. Power adjustment functions can also be sorted. Many including myself have done this and i don't think would go back

Ok Thanks. Tried looking for some older "mirror posts" but guess I didn't go back far enough.

I did it on my F350 because the paint was peeling on the mirrors. My truck sits outside and the wife's Excursion stays in the garage so the original tow mirrors on her truck are still in great shape. I bought a set that is the 08-16 style housing, but has the 17-21 lighting...meaning it has the blinker signals, the side work lights, and lower convenience puddle lights. My truck did not come with the defrost option like the Excursion did, but it's not that difficult to wire it up as long as you know the wiring color coding.

Here is a comparison of the various mirrors through the years. You can also mount the 17 up mirrors, which I looked into, but they just don't look right as I believe the angle is different between the 2 cab designs.
