As told to me by one of the developers: Also all of the "standard" values associated with the transmission controller will begin with "trans." then something else. The "trans_temp" channel is a raw ADC value. I may have named it that in the .ini I include in the project we have you import, and this is just left over. The transmission temperature value is the "trans.trans temp." This is about 116 in the log.
An ADC value is the raw conversion of any of our analog channels. A value of 0 represents 0v, while 1024 represents 5v.

Also, you might notice the spark error log at the bottom. It & the TT in the *800s were the reason for my thread questions. Reply was this:
"The spark error is a calculation performed based on calculated/intended dwell verses when the trigger actually passes and spark is commanded. Don't worry about it. It has been buried in there since Ms2 B&G code since 2006, and honestly is not useful to the end user."
Did they suggest, what laptop, OS, to use to see/use all the features, in TS, to get, so you didnt need to upgrade. I know on web site they say what minimum to have, but I'm wondering, what to get to have all the features, and what would be missed, by just getting the minimum.
Next time I connect with the ECU I'll screen shot the TS "dashboard" as I've configured for now. It's quite nice & you can pretty much do anything you want with nearly countless options as far as layout.
I believe the ECU will drive most all aftermarket digital display dashes too.
I'm running a win 8 hp media laptop (real antique) that's all that can be spared cause it choked on 10 & it seems to be fine running Tuner Studio & log viewer
I think 7 is min, although there are others running linux & other doit yourself OSs.
My biggest issue is wifi connectivity house to shop (30yrds?, even with extender) cause you have to be able to get most of your tech info off *****' ******* you tube videos.

I use a dedicated laptop I bought at Walmart for $250 two summers ago. No problems with mine. You purchase a Tuner Studio license with the pimp and MegaLog viewer (data log) separately, but it’s optional. I think it’s well worth the small fee though.
What I'd wanted to ask of those who did installs in OBS applications is, did any of you have to cut a cab support to run the USB-B right angle connector?
After cutting down the ECU cage per supplied supplement instructions, I ran into this cab-firewall brace the only place the cable could go.
With the help of a saws-all, drill & drift & hammer to bend over tab:
Nice chunk of rolled foam packing material to keep it from falling out:
I can find no mention of this listed on the stinger site.
Cable runs under carpet & padding, comes up under console foot cut-out.
Yes, I think the earlier '87-91 years is a little bit more involved to get it to fit as shown by Mikulh posts.
I had the the exact same issue Dave. I didn't make my notch as deep, just enough to get the right-angle connector in and with no rubbing of the wire. They offer an expansion port thats located on the back of the ECU and its connector is a straight angle so no modification needed other than the steps listed on the Start-Up Guide they provide where you have to cut the ECU support bracket. Where do you have yours coming out at, the console foot cut-out? I have mine coming out behind the kick panel and bundled on the emergency brake release handle:
I think they also offer a wi-fi option for those with the expansion port.
To that end, if you are running pimp, whether EFI only or with the xshift (that is the important part for me now), either AODE or like me E4, please post up your application.
I know a couple of ya'll who are, but it'd help me kind'a keep everybody straight if you post up
I'm running a PimpX ECU in my '91 F150 with 1995 5.8L (Hybrid 5.0L/5.8L Intake, GT40 heads, JBA Shorty Headers, 1.7 Ratio Roller Rockers on stock roller cam) with M5OD.
