Sensor
I own a 2005 Ford F-250 Super Duty 6.8 liter V-10 Triton. The advance diver assistance or parking assist sensor. In the rear is't working. I've replaced the sensors in rear and made sure to disconnect the battery just case some wires was chaffed. After changing them out I reconnected the battery. Used the usual test for the sensor by turning the truck on not starting it but ignition on. Place the truck in reverse and place my ear on the sensor, listen for the clicks that sensors make when working properly. Everything working fine but the lite in cab for the parking assist was still on. For those of you that know what lite I'm talking about on the dash it was still on. So I thought it can only be one this bad wiring somewhere in the wire harness. Couldn't find any short, chaffing, broken wire anywhere. That's not saying I haven't overlooked something.
Please help. I'working on this military base as a contractor and they won't let me drive my legal truck in because the sensors not working. The trucks got all my tools. So in the morning I have to wait for some friends/coworkers to catch a ride in. Hope one of you has some answers
Thanks for the help and I tried what you suggested and it didn't work. But a unsuspected thing my trailer lights all work now don't why but it is working. So thanks for that. Hopefully that someone out there has a solution to my problem.
Aloha and thanks again.
