Continuing to work on Project Scurvy and do some upgrades. Installed the Accufab TB and now working on getting the headers installed.
Had 6 studs that were snapped. So far got 4 out yesterday in an hour going to the do the last 2 today. The M18 right angle drill working perfectly for this!
Will post up some MAF lb/min gains once I get installed. Also found out it had a Ford motor installed in 2006, always wondered why it had the newest PI heads that didn’t come out till 03.
You won't be disappointed with the banks headers. I have been very happy with mine. May want to consider the Jones 3030xl muffler to go with it. Has a nice sound to it when paired with the headers
Thanks, yes upgrading the exhaust also. I’m running a couple of the Dynomax Ultra Flow round mufflers 3” all the way. Also looking at adding a Helmholtz resonator to kill the drone around 2200-2400 rpm when towing the boat. The Helmholtz I calculated out needed to be about 31”.
That sticker doesn't mean it was installed in 2006 i believe, it means thats when the motor was rebuilt, and then put on a shelf, could have been several years after that it was un-racked and put in your vehicle, but ford should have record of it being done, or at least of when that serial number was sold and who it was sold to, might be good records for you.
