5.4 2v cam gears

I've got an '04 5.4 2v that's going to get a complete timing component change soon, along with the oil pump.

I want to replace everything, including the cam gears (sprockets). But I can't seem to find accurate info on whether the cam gears are easily removable or not. Comp Cams says the gears are "permanently pressed on" and are "not removable." Alldata doesn't say anything about them, other than listing the OEM numbers. All the major aftermarket brands list new cam gears as well. Some have complete kits with the gears, others leave the gears out.
If I'm not mistaken, the OEM cams are tubular, and I don't want to destroy them by trying to press a gear off/on that isn't designed to be replaced. But I don't want to re-use the old gears after going through the hassle of tearing the whole front of the engine off. So why the hell does everyone list new gears if they're not designed to be replaced? Anyone gone through this particular pain in the ****?
