I did get them in; quite a struggle for me at 73 years; not as strong as I used to be. Everyone added something that helped me. That last video was great.

Scraprat; well, with one side in, I turned them on (in the garage). Clearly whiter; hard to tell on brighter as it is daylight. I'll try them out tonight and post back. I've not adjusted anything at this point. I'll see if I get flashed. These are legal lights so . . . . Sometimes I think whiter lights APPEAR to give better range but not sure whether it is actual.

Also got in some Diode Dynamics fogs. I did get to try these out at night. Definitely better side vision; broader and deeper. With Bambi mode, get some great visibility. Hoping the Ultras help too.

All of this is because of all of the darn deer roaming around the highways at night. Cost about $200 in total and a few hours work.

Again, thanks to everyone. I'll post back on my impressions.

OK, a little delay as we had an 11" snow last night. I got out tonight to try the new setup. It is definitely an improvement.

What I did:
Sylvania Silverstar Ultras
Diode Dynamics Fogs
ForScan Bambi Mode

Ultra Benefits:
Whiter light ( but not LED white)
Better range and better horizontal illumination

Diode Dynamics Benefits:
Broader and Deeper Fog illumination

Combine all three (with Bambi mode) and you get a reasonably good improvement for rural highway driving at a reasonable cost of about $200 and a few hours work. I'm happy with the results.
