John, and the rest of the FTE crew, I wish you the Lord's best as we celebrate, regardless of our present circumstance, this most special of days. We join with Christians everywhere and proclaim in the words of the familiar hymn:
"JOY TO THE WORLD THE LORD HAS COME! LET EARTH RECEIVE HER KING".
Christmas reminds us that God came down to us in human form on that special night celebrated by shepherds and angles, that this same Jesus born to Mary so many years ago is with us now in all the trials and triumphs of life, and when the time is right, He is coming again to take believers in Him to their heavenly home.

You're amazing, and you have a such a great way of putting your thoughts and feelings to word. I really appreciate your efforts.
Like others here, this season has been a bit tough. There were some losses (attending and planning funerals this time of year is a kicker) but there were also additions. Thankfully the losses were after long and fruitful lives and brought to close the suffering. Today was celebrated with family and friends with plenty of food and fun. Life is good (hard sometimes) but good.
May your life calm down a bit and get back towards some form of normalcy
