I have an 88 Ford bronco and the engine light stays on now and the oil pressure gauge is stuck at Max position! My husband says it might be the sensor, but he's not a mechanic and he'll tell you that...lol... Can somebody please tell me what's going on before I spend more money than I have to fix this problem?
You won't get many answers, to any questions here, in the introduction forum. However, if you take your question(s), to the, "Bronco" forum, then click on the appropriate years group, the folks there will be glad to help. You might also try the, "Engines, Performance and Troubleshooting", forum.
Last, but certainly not least, check out your Mo. state chapter. There may well be someone local, who has experienced a similar issue.

Welcome,
If you ground the wire to the oil pressure sender the gauge will peg
Most likely a wiring problem (short to ground)
If you see no wiring problem replace the sender
