1990 Bronco 5.8L Need some help!
My Bronco started acting up the other day. I noticed that the engine would surge or hunt at idle. I also noticed that the votage gage would ocillate at the same frequency as the surging. Then my roommate noticed black smoke coming from my exhaust. When I looked at my tailpipe I saw heavy black carbon soot at the pipe opening and some black water or liquid on the ground from the pipe. I felt it and it did feel like water. I checked my oil level it was low enough not to register on the stick. I'm afraid to drive because I don't want to do anymore damage. I'm planning on putting more oil in it so I can get to a mechanic. I would really appreciate some feedback.
