I’m sure there’s an oil-to-water cooler in the radiator, so the video probably refers to a visible external cooler. I stopped watching most of the TFL videos awhile back; they’re a bit too meatheaded for me to stay focused.

But if that’s true, the order guide doesn’t specify any additional cooling for the max tow package.

But if that’s correct, it’s good news for everyone. That means that Ford warrants the default cooling package for loads requiring the Max Tow package. They don’t publish operating temps or cooling system specs, but the days of overheating transmissions with ineffective factory cooling were gone over a decade ago. I wouldn’t worry about it; just monitor temps in the cluster for usual activity, and get concerned if it starts unexpectedly going too hot.

I've found that TFL often doesn't really know what they're talking about. My favorite is when they're off-roading in 4WD high and make a point to stop to engage low range as they approach a large mud hole or something...

And again. The picture I posted clearly shows the two transmission lines going into the radiator on my Personal 2021 5.0. Not sure why those would be there unless it was for cooling.

I’m thinking that was his point. We’re all agreeing here that the transmission has a cooler.

There is also another box, that the lines go into that is new. Large aluminum box on the passenger side of the trans. But again my truck is a 5.0. I wouldn't think the rest would be different. But ive seen some strange things from the manufacturers over the years.

I know we are agreeing. But people do tend to argue even after the fact. I argued over the front iwe with a guy for a week. Even after putting mine on my lift and showing him that they were different, along with showing him several of the older ones I had in scrap, he still said they were vacuum. Lol. His 19 is with Ford as we speak.... getting iwe replaced again.
