Hpop Changed Still Problems

I recently had the engine shut down. The hpop was trashed. New HPOP was installed. New IPR installed. Went to mechanic told me the engine takes a few times to crank because the ficm is learning the new IPR. Brought it home. Hard start initially. Fine when warm. ( temp 32 Fahrenheit ) initial start. While driving noticed the check gauge light on. The oil pressure intermittenly dropping to zero on guage. Engine running fine. What could this be? Is it accurate that the new IPR will need to be "learned" by the FICM. Told it needs to do about 28 cycles ( starts) for it to learn the new IPR.

The FICM doesn't have anything to do with the oil pressure gauge .................

It is more likely that you are using an OEM oil filter with an aftermarket (WIX type) oil filter cap.
