Anyone else experiencing problems with their SYNC display? 2021 Lariat Crew Cab. Mine started randomly dialing people when phone connected via CarPlay. When I disconnect the phone the screen jumped to the navigation screen and kept searching around in navigation not allowing me to move off of it. I tried doing a master reset twice and I've experienced the problem with blue tooth turned off and again with no phone connected at all. Wanted to rule out any problems CarPlay or my phone might be causing. On a trip home yesterday we pulled on the side of the highway to do the reset and not a mile down the road afterwards it acted up again. It was at night so drove home with this light display jumping around on the screen. After about 30 minutes it stopped and acted normal. I made an appointment to bring it in but wondered if anyone else experienced this and found the solution. I'm thinking the dealership is going to tell me they couldn't find anything wrong or it didn't happen when they test drove it. I made a video just in case. Thanks

With that being said, you might need a new APIM.
Thanks. There was an update available. I couldn't get it to work over WiFi for some reason. I would start it, see the downloading message and after several minutes it would jump to a different screen and basically lock out everything. I left her over night since the update is suppose to work with truck turned off but this morning the updated version still showed a prior date. I just picked up a flash drive and did the update manually. Wasn't too bad and it said Update complete. Screen also shows latest update with Today's date and time. Version just shows V3.4 which it was before starting all this and not V3.4.21194 so not totally confident. It did create the log file and when I uploaded the file to my account in Ford.com it says I have the current version of V3.4.21194. Will check it out later today to see if problem resolved. Still have to drop off the truck on Wednesday for the windshield washers but that's another thread.. :-)
Well that didn't last long. Added my phone via bluetooth, connected to CarPlay via cable and searched a few screens before she acted up again. Definitely not fixed. Does the version stay on V3.4 or should it update to V3.4.21194 after the update? Still hoping it's just software related...
Update: Don't know when it happened but I realized this morning that the version screen shows V3.4 BUT on the next line it said BUILD 21194 So looks like I have the latest version. BUT when I do a search for updates it comes back trying to download a new version so guess i'st dealer time to figure out what's up. Appreciated the help..
