Do you currently have issues with your transmission temps?
the truck is stock except for air filter and hydra tuner, temps will get up to 182 on my hour long commute to work if it’s around 70 degrees outside and I was told you shouldn’t be running that hot without towing
Have you looked at the stock one? Hard to do worse than that. Until you start hitting 220-230 or so I wouldn't worry.
I didn’t think the obs trucks came with a trans cooler. I was told on an obs Facebook group that anything over 190 will start to cause damage to the transmission seals.
Ah yes, Flakebook. 190's good enough to keep condensation down but unless you're sustaining 220 (which you might towing), then you're fine in the mid 180's.
The 95-97 pickups have a cooler barely adequate for a power steering cooler.

thanks for that information! Will send this one back and just order a 6.0 cooler in the near future.
I had a cooler much like that and it was inadequate.
many run the 6l but I have the trucool 40k gvw cooler on 3 trucks and it's great. It also is easier to accommodate space wise if you have an intercooler.
Also the smaller 99-07 gasser job coolers and 7.3 are adequate, I run one in my OBS, had a 6.0 on there but "someone" hit it while installing a freshly build engine into my OBS.

I also have that trucool and works fine. Compact but enough, and I also have an intercooler, so no problem with space.
