Just curious if it's me or a Ford issue. I periodically use my one of my trailers, and after i do every time afterwards when i start my truck, my display defaults to "Towing Status" screen. Ford say's I need to delete the trailer from the memory to keep this from happing (which it does), so when i use the trailer again the information is gone (naturally). With all the modern technology that Ford has - this cannot be the solution, Is IT? is there a possible Forscan solution. checked the spreadsheet and didn't see anything related to Towing, curious if it were hidden.
This is a relatively common question on the forum. Disconnecting the trailer prior to shutting the truck down is one technique.
Here is just one of many threads that discuss it...... https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1563424-new-2019-lariat-defaults-to-towing-screen-every-time-is-there-a-fix.html

Somehow i figured it wasn't a me issue. sorry- i did try to look it up before i posted and appreciate your response. My truck is always running when i disconnect the trailer, park the truck in a different area. I'll check the link.
Very seldom is my truck running when I unplug the trailer. I usually park, turn it off, get out and unhook the trailer and leave. That trailer screen is never on when I restart the truck.
But then again I have zero trailers in the memory. I think that's where the problem lies for those who have this issue. The only reason I ever had any in the memory was to keep track of tire mileage. But due to forgetfulness I'd forget to switch trailers and the whole thing became pointless. So I just deleted them all and forgot about it.
Dammmmm, after all this time and frustration. Post, Read, Apply Issue corrected. Went to the truck, started it. selected no active trailer, turned it off , turned it on and Speedometer on the screen. Appreciate the responses and reading the posts that i should have searched out first. You know, you'd figure Ford can back your truck & trailer up but they can't make it go away automatically when you disconnect it. Gotta love it. Merry Christmas Y'all
