Theyre forcing people to go to a higher trim if they want more than a few upgrades. The XLT Premium is a nice package, but a regular old XLT used too be a very nice, some would say a bit luxurious, truck. Of course, I'm talking about the the 80's and 90's. Lariat Value package is the new XLT in super duties.

I went with the XLT Value and love it! Of course I am coming from a 2008 Chevy Cobalt with push down locks, roll up windows, and manual transmission (read: no cruise control) and a plastic steering wheel… lol. The XLT Premium had too much chrome and I wasn’t a fan of the wheels, and I didn’t want all the leather and higher price tag of the Lariat, so the XLT Value was my sweet spot, and is quite luxurious to me. I don't think I would spend the money to swap to the Raptor steering wheel, so I’m giving the Wheel Skins a try, but not so sure how it will fit due to the shape of the steering wheel, so it may not stay on, but it’s worth a try. I will admit, I am curious to see what all the race is about with a leather wrapped steering wheel.

yes the paddle shiftershifters work...

Got the wheel and wiring harness for the paddle shift on order through GreyGoose. What other harnesses do I need? Can you elaborate on the clock spring? Is that a harness? Or? How about the heating module? Another harness, or is that with the paddle shift harness?

I tried the Wheelskins. Had a very tough time sowing them on and decided to send them back. They may be fine if your a seamstress! My mother could sow anything and I thought I had learned quite a bit from her, but, these were just too tough. So, decided to order the Rapter wheel..... Hopefully it won't be too big of a pain...

It should be here today so I’ll see soon. I’m just hoping they fit over the swells and look ok.
