Power running boards- is automatic problematic?

Power running boards- is automatic problematic?
I noticed on the price and build site that they are not offering power running boards any more? Mine is spec’d with them and slated for production “this week” so I’m assuming that they have a set procured for me.
So why have they been deleted as an option?
Have they been proven to be problems and not worth the dealers time to repair or replace while under warranty?
Or might this be a “supply chain” snag?

Weird- when pulling up the site on my cell it’s only offering three running board options for me here and now🤷🏻♂️
But to those that have the power boards, have they been problem free?

Power running boards have been good on my 2017 and it's got 135K miles now. Friend that works at a diesel shop said it seems the OEM power running boards give little to no trouble, but if you add them aftermarket from AMP they eventually have issues. Not sure why.

There's a new Suburban that drives by the house with the driver's side stuck down. It's pretty low when it's down too.

I just configured a truck last night and power running boards were available. Did you configure at least a lariat with ultimate package?

I have had them on three of my last four trucks. I had two issues with them. One was the drivers side would not retract at all, and the other (with a different truck) the passenger side would not retract sometimes, they would start then stop and go back down.
The first drivers side was fixed by a good cleaning and greasing. Seems OH winters will mess them up. The second passenger side was s bad sensor. The sensor is in the motor so it was replaced.
I would not hesitate to buy them on another truck. Just remember to leave them out in the winter or freezing rain.
