Were all 66 f100 and so on rims painted white? Or was there other options did Ford paint the rims white to match the common two tone color of white for that era or was that only a custom cab thing because I’ve seen some factory white hubcaps but I’ve never seen a truck with white caps on white rims? Sorry I’m probably just rambling here

Wimbledon White was the standard wheel color on all '66 F 100's with all paint colors and combo's, unless body was painted a special order fleet color ( body and wheels usually same color). The carryover bottle cap style was the only "white" hubcap used in '66 when the optional heavy duty 2 piece 15 wheel ( second photo) or 17.5 1 piece was ordered. The "galaxie" ( bump style) cap never came painted "white with red trim" on F100 pickups, it was either argent silver with red trim ( first photo) or stainless with black trim. The only "white galaxie with red trim" hubcap was used on '65-'67 Econolines.
That is first pic of 61-66 F100 with snapring wheels. I have a 63 F100 2 wheel drive with them, think was ordered with them. I pursched set of member on here that were on 4 wheel drive

More common on F 250's than on F 100's. F 100's with 2 piece rims came with heavier duty tires and the other benifit was tube type tires held air pressure better in off road travel were rocks and sharp ruts were encountered.
