I have a new-to-me 2020 Lariat (5.0 3.55) with 10 speed. The 10 speed is also new-to-me.
I do most of my driving in the suburbs/flatlands of Chicago. My question is, with the exception of Winter, should I always drive in the normal drive mode? With my normal, everyday, day-to-day driving, which consists of going stop sign to stop sign and stop light to stop light (there is obviously highway driving in there as well).
Should I lock out any gears? Or always keep all 10 gears? Thoughts?
I prefer Sport mode - no gear skipping and much better throttle response when starting. All that comes at the expense of a bit of gas mileage, though...
I personally don't like Winter mode. I learned to drive in the snow, so I know how to go light on the gas pedal, etc. Winter mode always makes my truck feel like it's sluggish. Give it a try, though. You may like it.
