How do you drive your stroker?

How do you guys drive your trucks? Out on a sunday drive or hogging the road like your driving on a NASCAR road course?

I voted NASCAR, but I don't do that all the time. I only drive "slighty" over the speed limit, but when I come up on someone going slower I definately show them the power as I blow past them. Then, when I'm off the main highway I tend to run as fast I can without getting temps too high.

I voted speed racer. 70-75 on the highways and the occasional light to light drag with friends or the tin can racers.

I second that. Full throttle starts regularly but try to be as courtious on the roads as possible. People seem to fear 4 tons of sheet metal that go like these modded rigs do!

Just make sure the drivetrain is totally warmed up before you jump on it. That's what I do. If I warm up the motor with my high idle, I still make sure I drive it at least five to ten miles to let all the gears, axles, etc warm up.

I take it pretty easy around town, freeway try to stick around 70 or so, unless I'm in a hurry (don't like to be in a hurry, though). Getting on on-ramps and such I like to let it loose a little.

Go speed racer for me. Freeway on ramps are my favorite.

A nice easy warm-up and then driven with respect. My truck does occasionally get a good workout pulling trailers. And about once a week, just have to get on it and blow the soot out of it.

I make sure to always have my tach under 2k--> always!! Well, there are the occasional times someone upsets me and I just have to floor it and shake things up a bit. My wife calls it road rage. I think its just giving a free lesson. I can swear though that when I floor it and push it hard I can see the fuel gauge move!!

To work is more like a sunday drive, home from work is like nascar, only becuase I stopped somewhere and have to make it in time for dinner. Most of the time it is on ramps and little folger can cars, nothing like folgers to wake a truck up.

i would like to consider myself "speed racer" but being im 16, i can't get too many violations (or one big one) or i'll be video game racer until im 'effin 21.

i have a big foot but i rarely go over 1/2 throttle except mashing the pedal to make it shift. i am afraid of making applesauce out of the torque converter. i either want a 6.oh T/C or a BTS. i know with an aftermarket torque converter i can mash it and forget it. no worries of spinning the torque converter off. or can these take it and am i just being a pansy? im ordering a T/C lockup now.

oh when driving, i am only happy when going 10-15 over the speed limit. i hate people who drive the speed limit. im an "overachiever" i like to do more than i need.

Interesting way of putting it, "overachiever", by your definition would include my driving habits as well. I like it, new bumper sticker reads: I am not speeding, just achieving more than YOU!

Like I stole it. But that wasn't an option so I voted Nascar but only 85% of the time.
