Pretty sure it went thru a regen late last week, as the particulate filter was around 80% and now is 0%. But a week later after normal trips and more than usual idling since the last regen (it's cold in Alaska in the winter!), the DEF gauge reports full and 38000 range (DTE) and the particulate filter status is 0%. What's going on?
thx. Of greater interest then is the filter % staying at 0% for the past three days of regular use - close to home and no little idling in this cold.
that's normal.
I believe this is one of the reasons Ford doesn't put the DPF% screen on most trucks. It just makes owners worry that something is wrong or not working right.
I had the DPF% screen go up to 10% after a regen in less that 10 miles, and I have seen it stay a 0% for two days and 100 miles.
if there is a problem you will get a CEL, if not, don't worry, be happy
thx for the feedback. I wonder if the DEF range keys off the DTE on the fuel side? I have a 60 gallon tank, range is around 1,000 miles. As I burned fuel, I noticed the DEF range declined. Odd. The summer/winter may make sense in that the blend for winter has less paraffin. No CEL messages - thanks bobv60 - so simply driving and enjoying the truck.
