Does the factory work 7 days a week? Could you get an email on Saturday or Sunday with your VIN? Also, comparing a Lariat to a limited with the same options would one get picked over the other or would it just depend on when the order as placed?
My status changed overnight Thursday from Order Confirmed to In Production on Friday morning with no email notice. I wouldn't count on that as a sole means of knowing what's going on. Keep checking the tracker if you have an order number and VIN. As of a couple days ago Ford's tracker was working but the Mach E website was not.
I haven't been getting the last email from Ford. I randomly checked it myself, to see that my order was now "in production" and I got my window sticker. The trackers are all messed up for the last 2 or 3 days now

I still don’t have a VIN. I was wondering if it could show up on the weekend. When I ordered in August the dealer told me December. Now they’re projecting February but the they don’t really now. I have to believe the Adaptive Steering is probably my issue. They told me orders place well after mine have already been delivered and am still don’t have a VIN. It’s a Lariat, 4x4, SWD, Adaptive Steering, Ultimate package, Moon roof, Spray In liner. Mud Flaps, Wheel well liners.

Here's a screenshot I posted the other day from Blue Oval forums that shows commodities that are holding up Super Duty builds. Strange how things work. I had a confirmation email hours after my order was submitted. I had a VIN and tentative build date week the following day.

The information was from Tuesday 11/30 and appears to be the most recent.
Also, it's been posted that the plant will be shut down from 12/23 to 1/17 for the holidays and retooling.
