VIN availability

Last Tuesday, 7/20, I saw my salesman and put down a deposit for a 2022 F350 XLT CCSB Diesel.

How long before i should expect a VIN?

At the earliest 8/12/21 when scheduling resumes, but no telling if you'll be put on the schedule then. Ford does not explain how they selected trucks for scheduling other than commodity shortages. Schedules usually released on Thursdays.

How was your order placed by the dealer, as a retail order that has been verified or stock order or???
Verified order is where the dealer has you sign a retail order verification and supply a copy of your driver's license.

Retail verified orders are getting the priority for the time being.

Once the order is submitted and accepted by Ford, then the order will get a VIN assigned.
Was about a week from the time I got the email from Ford for my order to the dealer having the VIN.

Mine must have been Retail. I did sign and supply my driver's license.
I'm hoping for a delivery by Christmas, but whatever is is, I'll be happy to get it.

Did you supply an email addy and get the order confirmation email from Ford?
You should get that the same day the order is submitted on a retail verified order.
If you haven't gotten that yet, then likely the order hasn't been submitted yet.

I ordered 7/3, no VIN, "clean unscheduled" according to Vehicle Visibility Report. Hoping to see a VIN when the next round gets scheduled

What @Phoenixfla said above.

Also, being that you ordered an XLT, just k ow that if you added the HCTT w/ UTT package or just the UTT package, it may be a while. The XLT’s with these packages are not being scheduled “until further notice.” I placed an order for a 250 XLT CCSB 4x4 with this option on 5/24 and still haven’t been scheduled. Also, FWIW, the deposit, signed order with DL was submitted on day of order and I received a confirmation email from Ford while still at the dealers desk. Also, my order was submitted and approved through COVP when they started that too. My order is unscheduled-clean. At this point, I’m hoping I have mine by the end of January next year!
